Why we're building The Build
The Build is Nadobela's new editorial home, real stories about startups, careers and the work of building things in Nigeria and beyond, starting today.
We started Nadobela in 2023 to build software for startups and SMEs across Nigeria and beyond. Nine shipped projects in, we kept running into the same problem: the best parts of what we learned, the specific, practical parts, never made it past a client call.
What this is
The Build is where those parts go. It's the editorial publication of Nadobela: stories about the people building things, startups, careers, small businesses going digital, and the practical, specific lessons underneath them. Not inspiration for its own sake. Things you can actually use.
What it isn't
It isn't a sales blog. Nadobela's work speaks for itself on nadobela.com. This is a different room in the same building, one where we can go deeper than a case study allows, and where builders outside our client list get a place to tell their own stories too.
What's next
We're starting with four pieces: this one, a practical guide, a look back at our first year of shipped projects, and a look at what we look for when we're hiring. More will follow, from us, and eventually from the builders we feature. If you're doing something worth writing about, we'd like to hear from you.
